This kit was a FUN build! The only reason I gave the design a 4 star is because I modified the base kit for the wings, so that they would open up. I painted most of this kit, covering the yellow with Gold and using metallic green paint for the cockpit glass. Overall and awesome kit! (Posted on 2/26/12)Value Quality Design - Great kit!! This is my first Gundam kit that I've built, and I have to say I had a great time building it. All I've added was a little bit of lining, there are so many colors that it looks great without painting. My only problem was with the buster rifle, it is hard to get the Gundam to hold it properly. Straight out of the box or painted this kit looks great as expected from a kit designed by Hajime Katoki. The transformation gimmick is awesome and the bird mode looks awesome too. The only really issue that I have with this kit is that the wings make it back heavy but that is something that can be overcome by positioning of the legs and body or an action base. Just finished building this kit. Looks very nice when built even without paint. Some of the stickers are hard to put on so it might be easier to just paint those parts. I really like how the shoulders were designed. I believe getting a display stand for this kit is a good idea as well. (Posted on 1/5/12)Value Quality Design
