This was a very awesome kit the wings I thought were great with detail. The way they retracted an expanded was amazing. I was skeptical at first about the feature if the wings but they were great. For many of us, this was the very Gundam who introduced us into the world of Gundams and for that Im grateful for being able to build this. The details of this one compared to the HG 1/100 is off the charts, it really got an upgrade, especially with the shield. It still has the transformation mode and it has a decent amount of articulation but it does have some cons.Value Quality Design
The HG 1/100 version was the very first model I got and if you compare both, the HG is very bulky and gives it a much bigger look versus this one: its very tiny, skinny, and almost anorexic sort of. I thought the MG Shenlong was sort of skinny but this one is probably the most skinniest and tiniest looking of the five, even with the wings. Also, the Beam Rifle is just all black. They could have easily painted it for us but eh I guess all great things come with a trade-off. Even still, Im not disappointed with this kit, I mean this is Wing Gundam we are talkin about here!
Anyways, Id definitely recommend this kit, its just one of those very few that become a life-long classic and brings back so many memories. (Posted on 3/2/12) - Couldn't be happier Review by Jose

This kit brings me back to the anime series of Gundam Wing.Value Quality Design
I thoroughly enjoyed building this kit. Very detailed figure compared to the old grade kits from the past. My only complain is the orange/yellowish runners that came with it so if you are going to buy this kit you might wanna paint it yellow or gold. The inner frame is very simple but unique on its own way. The beam saber compartment is amazing the mechanics they used to hold the beam saber. Overall i was very pleased about this kit and very much anticipate a "Wing Zero Custom" version soon. i hope! :) (Posted on 8/1/11) - Amazing!!!!! LOVE IT Review by Patrick

This model was fantasic i loved building it!!! I do have 1 small point for future buyers of this product to have knowledge of. That the yellow runners and more orange than yellow, but i found that the yellow tamyia paint was perfect ,for my taste, when airbrushed on. The rest is perfect I love the model and I truly wish there was a perfect grade ver. of this model cause I would have loved to make the build last longer i love this model soooo much! The Wing MG kit is accurate to the anime while also improving upon the design. The colors the plastic is molded in is very nice. It comes in a nice red, blue,white, yellow and gray. The yellow has a hint of orange which to me looks nice. Also the gray color that the inner frame and buster rifle are molded in is a stylish dark gun metal color. Once built it is very sleek and the proportions look much better than they were in show which came out 15 years ago. The kit has just the the right amount of details and it makes it look wonderful. The construction of the model is very solid and moving the model around and transforming it feels very safe. The accessories Wing come with are also very well designed. The buster rifle is very secure especially when the claw is hooke onto it and the shield even opens up to reveal a beam sabre that pops up. The blade of the sabre is also in a pretty light green color that is reminicant of the anime.Design Value Quality
I highly recommend this kit because it is very sleek and detailed while also being very well engineered. However, I do have to warn that some of the pieces are thin enough to break if you are not careful. (Posted on 11/30/10) - The anime doesn't do this model justice! Review by OZKai

The Wing Gundam MG is a dream I wasn't expecting! Since the release of the Ver.Ka (which was good, despite the decals), the thought of the anime accurate edition was all but gone. And here it is!Design Value Quality
The slimmed down proportions and nice added detailing (not overdone like the old HG) makes this a good piece just standing there. But the true beauty lies in its great posability, which is not hampered by it's wings or weapons being too heavy. Everything balances nicely!
Bird Mode transformation is simple while sturdy, and looks extremely great on an Action Base.

This is a great kit and has a far better transformation process then the MG zeta 2.0. Ive had the kit since its release and have yet to find any real flaws with it. Theres a very nice highly detailed inner frame. All the joints seem to be as stiff as the day i built it. With the transformation most kits tend to be loose and have parts that fall off but ive yet to have that problem with this. The build is fairly simple the hardest part for me was the wings with all the moving parts. The beam rifle can stay in the hand very well as long as you lock it in to place with the yellow claw. I was also very surprised that there wasn't a huge problem with the kits being back heavy. So all in all this is a great buy and I highly recommend it to any fan of wing. I love this Model, i was a fan of the series and of this Gundam, and the Models representation of it does great justice.Value Quality Design
Pros: transformation its complicated, yet fun to do so, great detail and mobility, and the weapons are great and even have moving mechinisms like the anime, and so far with me, absolutely no weight problems.
Cons: some be careful around the cockpit, i broke the white part of it, and had troble opening and closing it because i dint shave off the gauges right, so pay attention, sensors ont he sheild, and the jewel ont he chest need to be painted or markered [[i used dry erase]] because they come clear, and the shoulders are slightly loose.
but to me the pros outweigh the cons since the cons are nothing but minor annoyances that arent that significant
ive seen this model for ALOT more on other sites, and this is a perfect site for buying this model, recommended. (Posted on 9/6/10)
