Great Design but still an old kit - I love the design of Qubeley Damned (especially the monster hands), but the quality feels a bit disappointing for a kit in 2018. Please note I've never built any of the other Qubeley kits so I don't know if this is just a rehashed kit (though it certainly feels like it).
Quick summary:
Pros:
+Fantastic Design
+Easy Build
+Very distinctive outline to make it stand out on the shelf
+Waterslide decals
+Monster hands
Cons
- Limited articulation
- Large seamlines
- Some of the plastic feels fragile and cheaper in quality
- Limited articulation on monster hands
- building the funnels
- Essentially a 2001 kit.
This is pretty much the MG Qubeley kit that was launched in 2001. I'm not going to lie, I love this kit and it's going to look great on my shelf but it feels like a cash grab on Bandai's part.
My biggest complaint about this kit is the hands, the original MG Qubeley had hands with articulated joints. Meaning you can bend the fingers to create different pose. For Qubeley damned, it only has one joint in the knuckles, which results you being able to wag the finger round a little, but it's always going to be extended.
Out of the box, this model isn't nearly as impressive as it could've been. That being said, if you're skilled enough to kit bash and make customize your kits, this would be a great one to play around with
