A good kit, but I have issues.
Do not buy unless you're prepared to deal with a headache.
This is coming from the perspective of someone who does not build model kits like this often, at all. However, I feel numerous other reviews are not putting the full details forward.
1: Her joint ports for her arms and pigtails are too shallow to properly hold those parts in. They come out WAY too easily if you're not ultra-careful with handling her.
2: The waist joints for the legs are too stiff, and one small movement lead to her right waist joint cracking and rendering her leg useless. Kotobukiya should be using the softer plastic found here and there to construct the *entire* joint, not just one piece of it (which would be the thigh joint in this case).
3: Many of the parts fit too loose or too tight in areas where they should be the opposite. Primarily her Galeon chest, the Galeon head, and her headcrest for the GaiGar mode. They don't sit snug in the ports, and fall off too easily while regularly handling here. I can understand that they need to be removable for putting other parts together, but having them be so loose that any regular handling causes them to fall out means they're *too* loose. They should all just be separate, complete, head pieces that can be safely glued together and not fussed over every time you want to change her look. On the other end, the wrist joints are too tight for doing any extensive posing with her. The hands come off just fine, but the actual wrist joints took me around 15 minutes or so to try and pull out to try and use any of the accessories that don't require them.
These are my biggest complaints about this kit. Beyond this, I did enjoy putting her together and had a pretty decent time. But these issues I had I just can't ignore or brush off.
One thing I want to note too, there's a good dissonance between the pictures on this site and the actual product. I did not see anything in the description mentioning the pictured model is professionally painted, and thus it gives off the impression that the pictured finished model is what you SHOULD be receiving. But instead she does not have every detail painted and colored in. If you're going to advertise the kits, please put only pictures of the Out-Of-Box model, and not a professionally painted version. That gives off the wrong impression and almost comes off as False Advertising.
