Condition This product needs to be assembled.
It's a meh suit for its price tag I use this guy as decoration for destroyed mobile suits. For a kit that came out in 2018, the articulation on this thing gets beaten by some older kits that came out in 2011. I hate that the legs are connected by the inferior ball joint system. However, it comes with a ton of extra parts that you can use for other kits, let your imagination run wild!
-Complete set of different leg armor, if you want a ground trooper variant.
-A different chest piece, though incomplete as it needs 2 more parts.
-Extra shoulder shield, if you don't want that little tri cannon thing.
-Extra crotch armor, missing some pieces.
-Complete extra arm shield with a connecter to the forearm.
-Complete extra back piece
-Extra feets, if you want to switch out the look for a more flat type.
-Extra elbow armors.
-1 rifle option to turn that beam cannon into a long rifle.
-1 extra open hand for the left.
-Leg is connected to a ball joint. Thigh swivel. No splits. it can do an almost full knee bend. However, the thigh armor gets in the way so it can't swing out it legs to the front, and it also comes into contact with the butt booster. The ankle flaps pop off all the dang time.
-Arm is at a 90* bend and connected through a peg. The peg can swing it back, forth, up and down, but it the armor piece at the peg there limits it. If you move it too much, that armor piece will come off. The hand covers are weak and fall off easily.
-It can two hand that beam cannon thing really well.
-No ab crunch, its on a peg.
-The little arm extender things on the backpack is inferior to the HGBF GM Cardigan. It limits to a 90* to 180* bend, and if you're not careful, you can bend it the wrong way and break the arms.
-The head articulation is nonexistent if you want it to look to the side, or anywhere. It CAN look down a little. The armor is too bulky and gets in the way.
-Did I mention that the ankle flaps are really loose? They are really loose.
Is it faithful to the box art?
Almost! No sticker for the camera on the beam cannon thing.
This is a must have for your collection The GN-X Striker is well designed, some parts better than others, like the shield arms on the shoulders could've been sturdier, but the shoulder mounted launcher appeals to me!
Awesome kit! DEFINITELY and awesome kit, with all the interchangeable armor and massive gun, you really cant go wrong with this bad boy. Also orange beam saber color seem rare to me. Worth checking out.
A Good Starter Kit Other than the Star Wars K2S0 this was my frist kit. He was very easy to assemble as long as you're patient. He has enough optional parts to make him more unique if you like as well.
Ya' Gonna Need Two Of These. There are several issues with this model: The ankle covers are loose, the mobile suit's rear collection is untrustworthy, and it doesn't feel like a very stable kit to begin with.
The stability and fragile parts, however, can be fixed with some crazy-glue. Other than that, it's an interesting Build Fighter spin on the GN-X series of mobile suit kits.
More importantly; it's got enough parts (minus the shoulder parts and fin panels) to create a less flashy GN-X. You can customize it and have a whole lot of fun doing it.
Finishing: Top Coat/Super Clear
You don’t need cement.
You don’t need paint.
