Want!!! Would love if they made this into a Master Grade as well
ReGelgu, Or Just ReCycled? Oh no. Oh no oh no Oh NO. As a lover of all things related to the MS-14 Gelgoog, this brings me pain. Not the kit itself, no. But writing this review!
See, the ReGelgu is a solid kit with the base amount of accessories, but it’s being priced at the same value as a cheap Master Grade or some of the more complex High Grades.
Let’s start off with the basic run-down: this kit is a P-Bandai exclusive kit based off the HGUC MS-14A Gelgoog kit from 2007, so lets get it’s age out there right away. Parts that have been remolded are, as far as I can remember, the big ol’ shoulders (wing binders), the grenade launchers on the forearms, and the head. It also comes with a new weapon - the Beam Lancer - and dual beam sabers so you can go at those Feddie pilots Darth Maul-style.
Now, it’s construction is simple and clean, nice and solid and it shouldn’t provide any horrid issues. Don’t expect a full arm curl or amazing foot space from this guy, he’s made to be put on a stand!
Now, that’s about it. The kit itself, 2 beam rifles, 2 beam sabers that can form into one, and some swappable hands. And that’s it.
And you’re paying 40USD for it.
It’s more expensive than a HGUC Full Armor Unicorn Gundam in either Psycoframe color, and almost as expensive as the more modern Zaku II + Big Gun set from “MSG: Thunderbolt”.
Like a lot of these P-Bandai releases, you’ve gotta ask yourself if the price is justified for what you’re getting.
And don’t get me started on the OTHER P-Bandai variant of this kit, the purple one from “MSG Unicorn”. Instead of red, it’s purple and has a different new beam rifle!
In summery: It’s a funky kit from ZZ, looks good and the build is nice, but the show your getting most likely ISN’T worth the price of admission.
