Everything was more than I expected. Anyway, it is cool looking.
it was impossible to see like this transformable plastic models. Details which got into the back side of the variable structural part which disappears also makes me feel exciting.
The ZZ to end all ZZ This kit got the remaster is so desperately needed and boy is it good. One of the funnest kits I've ever put together. It's solid, the transformation is smooth and parts from the original were reimagined with new transformation gimmicks. A must have without a doubt
A Beast Of A Kit!! For starters, this is one thick model kit. The amount of plastic that went into making this thing is so deceptive. It doesn't seem like it would have a lot, but it's packing a lot under the hood. Included water slide decals are a godsend, however I would not recommend using them as a first timer's attempt at water slides. I made that mistake, and a couple of the decals got damaged as I was attempting to apply them due to their long, oblong shapes.
For someone who is a fan of ZZ Gundam and is an experience model builder, this kit will be a treat!
Everything the original was meant to be I have been a fan of the ZZ design since I first saw it many years ago, so I jumped at the original MG ZZ and Full Armor versions and was extremely disappointed in the kit, mostly the arms. But, we're not here for those old kits now are we?
Every single complaint I ever had of the old MG ZZ kits are resolved. Every joint is tight enough to hold a pose, it can hold its weapons securely and it can still transform beautifully! What's more is the gorgeous splash of additional details on this kit! The silver detailing pieces really stand out in the best ways possible. Did I mention the landing gear for the core top, core bottom and G Fortress? I didn't?! Well, this thing has integrated landing gear for each of its forms! I wasn't expecting it, I didn't realize what I was building during construction thinking "Huh, this is a bit complex for a simple detail piece" and then WHAMMO, it all falls into place.
As much as I friggin LOVE this kit, I do have three MINOR complaints: 1) The need to swap out fingers/hands to hold weapons and transform, 2) water slide details with no standard label options or dry rubs 3) a few bits are a bit fiddly during transformation (the V-fin and beam rifle in particular).
If you're a fan of the series or the design, why haven't you gotten this yet?
YO ZZ WHAT UP Of course I got it! What did you expect? Buy it. its the first ZZ that you can pose. the legs are a little finnicky but the rest of it is something a mother can love. ITS A BIG BOY.
Favorite kIt ever!!! This is amazing! The build is slightly towards the fun and annoying side. The outcome is great looking, it's articulation is great and the transformation(s) are perfect. It's solid in whatever form it's in, yet then the swappable hands can be easy to remove at times.
"The Double-Zeta's a powerhouse!" Hoo man, this is a big boy. Even for its size, the ZZ Gundam stands out for being very sturdy, especially with its transformation gimmick present. The transformation is almost perfectly replicated, and is completely mechanical with no need to swap parts out. I didn't find the G-Fortress to be very stable though, specifically the Core Top. I don't know if I configured it incorrectly, but the arms had trouble getting into place and the Double Beam Rifle didn't stick inside the chest very well. Otherwise, this is an awesome kit with great detail, plenty of different posing configurations, and imposing presence. An excellent grab for just $65.
