RGM-79 GM Basically a production RX-78 -2 with a simplified arsenal for mass production.still a dangerous foe of zeon type suits as it had one of the first mass produced beam weapons as part of its arsenal.
Pros classic look that begs for custom builds.
simple construction that still looks great.
a decent arsenal including its shield, beam saber, bazooka, beam spray gun and core block.
low cost so buy more
cons simple look to some.
small arsenal compared to later gms
other than that still a great addition to your gm uc collection!Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again -

A very simple kit for a simple mobile suit I bought this to customize into a GM for Gatheroad Squadron from the SD Battle Alliance game, and I was amazed at how easily this kit went together for what is just a mass production suit. If you want to make your own personal GM, this kit has potential

The best grunt kit Bandai's ever made. I'm a sucker for grunts, and the GM 2.0 is one of the best kits around. Anime accuracy is not the end all be all for me, so initially I wasn't too big of a fan of the 2.0 series of MG's. I preferred gritty realistic machines, with tons of external detail and gribblies all over. The Origin line was one of my favorites for that reason. However, the 2.0 GM really did surprise me. The internal detail on this kit is amazing. its filled with pistons and detailed bits and its a massive shame Bandai stepped away from this philosophy of making MG's as internally detailed as they were on the outside. This era of 2.0 MG's have forever ruined the grade's more recent offerings for me. Nothing competes to the detail and effort put in to make the frame of this kit feel like a genuine machine.
Value wise, you get what the GM is supposed to come with, and while that isn't a lot, the quality of what you do get makes up for it. The beam spray gun is an amazing looking Gundam weapon. It gets its own internal skeleton with tons of detail, just waiting to be detailed up. The other accessories aren't too much to write home about, but its a GM, we're lucky to even get the bazooka.
The quality of this kit is masterful. Parts sit flush, plastic quality is great, and the kit is rock solid. Master Grades tend to be a chore to pose, but this kit poses like a High Grade. The joints all feel just right, and are easy to reset back to a natural position. Hard to understate how good this MG is. An essential builder, alongside a Zaku 2.0. Great quality but still bland mobile suit The kit is a victim to it's original design as a mass produced mobile suit. There's nothing special about it but that's ok because it shouldn't have anything special. This makes it true to the original source material but difficult to lambast. It's a very easy kit to build and could be used as a starting point for most adults and kids.
