Cheap, useful tool! Making note of this.
Mr. Dropper (for 400 ml container) This dropper serves a very specific purpose: it is able to reach all the way to the bottom of largest (400 ml) containers of Mr. Hobby thinners. I can confirm that it does, indeed, do just that and that there is length to spare. You are not going to be jamming your fingers on the opening of the bottles trying to get that last bit out. As stated on the package, it is 235 ml in length. It is quite easy to use; there are no special tricks or techniques needed. It is made from LDPE (low density polyethylene). The Mr. Hobby thinners don't seem to react with the material, but it is only used briefly. I don't think people are leaving thinner inside the dropper for extended periods of time, but who knows? There are measurements on the side that range from 0.5 ml to 2 ml in 0.5 ml increments. The measurements aren't the easiest to see – they're just raised off the plastic and aren't colored at all.
Once again, like several hobby products out there, this is a rebranded product. It is actually a dropper made by Nikko & Hansen Co., which appears to be a Japan based company specializing in medical products, lab equipment, etc. I find this an interesting aspect of this hobby and it just serves as a reminder that one does not necessarily need a brand name product as the companies themselves are using existing products that are already on the market. However, these existing products are not usually easy for "us regular people" to obtain as they may require a bulk purchase or special commercial accounts/relationships.
Overall, it is a great dropper. I've had no problems with it. The best aspect is the length.
Thanks for reading!
