These slightly more round hands are designed to work with Frame Arms and Hexa Gear models, and if we had to guess, that ball joint is for Gundams, even though Kotobukiya would deny that intention in a court of law. Regardless, these are somewhere between 1/144 scale and 1/100 scale in Gundam terms.
