It took a little while for the first non-UC Real Grade that isn't SEED, but now it's here! The main Gundam from season 1 of Gundam 00 is going to be the series' first foray into the world of RG! Featuring stellar detail and articulation superior to even the MG, this kit is sure to delight any fan of the series or suit design! First RG This kit is my first RG ever and I have to say, it is great! It was just very fun to build this and the mechanic of the inner frame is just awesome! Tho I broke one of the joint of the inner frame that makes the one of the leg are super loose to move now but because of various parts snap together, the leg still hold up pretty good. It doesn't fall off apart or anything. every joints on the kit are just firm and secure, giving a great feeling when you moving the articulations. Overall, it is a must have kit, I highly recommend this kit because why not, It is a freaking Exia! It is badass!

My First RG Thank Bandai for Minimalist Gundam Designs. Despite that, there are still some small/loose bits that you should probably glue...

    (I'm talking to you, "Ears," V-Fin, Yellow-Cheeks, and Tiny-Little-White-Piece-Above-The-GN-Drive!)

Really though, the kit comes together looking great, posing great, with some really decent foil seals, plenty of extra decals for extra detail.

Only real downsides IMO are small parts are really easy to screw up from a Nub-mark standpoint (I buggered by faceplate up pretty bad...), and some surfaces like the powerlines in the legs don't really lay flat when you want them too. I spent a while trying to shave down the mouldlines without damaging the frame too. One other thing, the feet are kind of... undersized? The kit seems hard to balance occasionally.

It's still a really cool kit, with a really cool MS. The frame is about as solid as I've ever seen on any RG kit, and while there's still some small and fiddly bits, it doesn't really detract from how good this kit is overall.

Not a bad RG It's pretty posable for a rg. Pieces don't just fall off, it's pretty durable. Some instructions were unclear, I ended up gluing the clear blue straps on but it's pretty solid overall. The head was a pain and I recommend using tweezers and taking your time with this kit, there are a lot of small pieces that can go missing.

Great RG Build I’ve built a few RG’s and this one is probably my favorite so far. Plenty of options for poses.
The only downside is all of the small parts can be difficult to take the stress/nub marking off.

Great first kit! Legs are a bit looser than they should but nothing that can't be fixed with some cement on the joints to thicken them up.

Excellent Exia This is an excellent kit. The build is different from the older RG, with a good inner frame and those big round green parts. It's fun leaving it without frame, but frame-on and it is a sleek, lean, mean, killing machine. Articulation is great, and I see no problem even after 5 years. The best part, of course, is the GN-sword. The chrome-plated blades are superb. Only complain is that the parts that you need to pop out to put the two blades are very small and hard to get in-and-out. Other than that, enjoy the build and the display. It's the best of Celestial Being.

Cool design and effects, but lacking articulation. This was my first RG kit, and my first 1/144 kit as well. It looks great visually, with some very cool weapons and nice holographic effects on the green transparent pieces. The issue is primarily that the kit's articulation is severely limited by the armor. It can barely kick its leg forward at all, and can't raise its arms above the neck without popping its shoulder armor off (The little blue and yellow vents on the chest also love to fly off when moving the arms). I actually spotted some pieces being removed from the model to achieve certain poses in the instruction manual. I'd recommend that you inspect it after building and consider taking some pieces off if you're going for a high-action pose. Other than the lackluster articulation though I think it's a really nice and detailed model!

A challenging first RG My first RG build. It was definitely more challenging I imagined. My only compaints are that some pieces are very delicate, and the legs can't be swung too far forward because the hip armor at the front can't pivot up. However, the end result looks amazing, and the level of detail packed in is impressive.
