Great kit but too good This kit is so handsome it made my partner cheat on me then took my kids to soccer practice and bonded with them and now they call this kit their father instead of me and I would be mad but the poseabilty made up for it
Fragile but solid I picked this up the week before as my first Gundam kit and I have to say the build is very fun. the figure is very pose-able and the figure looks very nice. On the otherhand I found the kit to be rather fragile. I'm not sure if its because I'm too rough or its my model kit in particular but the skirts like to fall off, the guns have a hard time pegging into the hands, especially the axe. The tiny pieces were a pain in the ass to clip out (but again might be product of my inexperience, shouldn't have started with a real grade gundam to begin with i suppose). Furthermore the pegs used to make the leg tubing snapped on me, one of them I might've clipped off but the second one definitely snapped on me. Despite all the flaws and issues I've had it's a very nice figure.
Excellent I really enjoyed the build overall and I think once assembled it stands the same as more modern real grades. I love the details it pulls from the master and perfect grades.
First RG, enjoyable build I was surprised at the intricacy of this build, having recently built a PG before this, it felt like there was more detail in this than the PG. Very nice mechanical detail with shifting armor plates and part seperation. Everything about this kit was amazing...except the front skirt armor that pops off if you glance at it. Poses really well otherwise with a range of motion even some MGs would be jealous of.
RG MS-06F Zaku II This kit is one of the earlier RG's is quite solid, but has some of the weaknesses of the earlier kits in the line. It is a relatively fun build, for a relatively low price. The only things that bring it down are the internal frame, and the build for the pipes. The pipe structures on the legs, chest, and head are made of tiny pieces that need to be slid onto a tiny thread of plastic. It is a bit frustrating, but not necessarily the most frustrating experience I've had. The kit also comes with a heat hawk, machine gun, and rocket launcher. Overall, the kit has some hallmarks of older RG kits, but it is still worth the price, all things considered.
Superior Zeon Over Engineering First RG kit I've bought. The detail is excellent with plenty of panel lines, color, and parts separation. Includes a few "gimmicks" like a modeled cockpit (no actual seated pilot figure though), armor panels will separate and move with the inner frame. The mono-eye will also rotate with the head. Articulation is good, take care while posing the model. The kit comes with two movable RG hands and a set of fixed HG ones. Comes with a sheet of sticker decals with plenty of markings and options.
Caveat, many small parts, and some fragile parts. The kit is a bit fragile, joints may be a bit stiff out of the box and take care while posing until they loosen up. The front armor skirts have very shallow pegs, so they can be prone to falling out. The leg peg connection to the hip are a bit shallow the legs are prone to popping out at times.
Overall a very detailed kit when it was released, however not recommended for a beginner kit. It's harder to recommend with the HG Gundam The Origins line now in existence. While not as detailed as the RG Zaku the HG Gundam The Origins Zaku line has a good balance of durability, detail, articulation and cost.
A well detailed zaku 2 Its very well detailed, and fun to assemble. Only issues with it are the waost and stickers.
A lot of small stickers so be careful. Waist doesnt have great mobility even when assembled, dont expect it to turn to much.
Mostly Great. Great looking model when all is said and done, with some fantastic design (I love the eye moving at a different rate than the rest of the head!), but certain parts are a bit fragile or tricky to do. The arms, hands, and weapons in particular like to come apart with little provocation, but they hold together once you stop messing with them. The cabling ends up looking great but can be very tricky to do if you're a bit clumsy like I am. Great options to let you equip your Zaku in lots of different ways.
