Very nice tool I have these as well as the Gundam brand nippers. They both cut great. I used to use nail clippers, but they cut/crushed the plastic. These will cut much cleaner, if you are careful, you can get away without all the sanding! Great time saver!
The Tamiya brand has a thinner blade and is finished a little better than the Gundam brand, but both work really well. You won’t go wrong no matter which you choose, but definitely get one or the other, you’ll be glad you did.Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Very Sharp! While not quite as good a deal as Gundam Planet's own sprue cutters, these Tamiya ones are very sharp and cut out parts with hardly any effort.
Very little discoloration of the plastic occurs when cuts are made.
Using these for the first time had me eyeing the build stash and wondering what to start cutting next!Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again -

Sharp and solid, nub marks gone in no time! These nippers are great. Good grip and no slip. Heavy enough to handle, but easy to cut. No fatigue even cutting runners for complex kits. Save time by making close cut and file it down, no need to use cutting knife to clean up. I thought this is a step toward God-hand, but I will just stick with this until it breaks..which is probably never!

Great, precise nippers I have these in addition to the Bandai Spirits Build-Up Nippers, and these are far more capable. The Bandai nippers cut fairly well, but the thicker blades mean that they push the part around more when you cut. The result is that you occasionally get unintended stress marks on other gates while you're cutting.
The blades on these nippers are much thinner, and they seem to be sharper, as well. Cuts are cleaner and there's very little movement in the part while cutting. I still wouldn't cut flush with the piece, particularly for large gates on blue/red plastic, but you can get pretty close.Comment Thank you for your feedback!
