   Definitely a challenge, worth the time The Y-wing is probably my favorite Star Wars vehicle, so seeing it get the Bandai treatment made me instantly snag it up. When it’s finished, the build looks smart, screen accurate, and either on its display stand or with its landing gear deployed.
   
   The build is pretty good. Though the pipe work on the middle of the top and bottom sections gets to be a point where its overly excessive. There’s nearly a good runners worth of them, and they’re incredibly fragile and easy to break, most of them are needle thick, so extra care must be applied. I left a few off of mine due to them bending too easily for my liking, but they add to the “studio” look of the kit. The build itself is not too complex, and it’s a fairly standard affair for those familiar with other Star Wars kits, or more advanced High Grades.
   
   Overall, certainly a nice kit, if not a bit challenging. Wouldn’t really recommend for first time buyers due to the complexities of the detailing and the piping, though this is simply a recommendation, and those who take their time and follow the instructions carefully, even if new, should have no problems putting together this Rebel workhorse.

   Amazing.... This kit is really to die for, especially if you are a Y-Wing fan. The detailing on the fuselage is very intricate, and can be rather time consuming, but the end results are very professional looking. I highly recommend painting, applying waterslide decals, detailing and weathering this kit to get the most out of it. It is truly amazing to look, being both impressive in size and detail.
