Good basic detailing This is a good place to start if you want to up your Gunpla game. While I agree that a finer tip would be optimal, I disagree on the difficulty of use. If you prime the marker properly before use, capillary action will naturally draw the fluid into the panel lines. In most cases you can gently wipe your finger or a tissue along the panel line to remove any excess while it is fresh. Alternatively you can wait for it to dry and sand or polish the excess off, which works especially well when dealing with shallow panel lines and details.

I'd recommend a finer tip When using these pens, you'll have to clean up a lot of run-off. While it's relatively easy due to the nature of the ink, you might end up with dark patches on your model. And because of the thick-ish brush nature of the pen, it can be difficult to get it into those panels effectively. It does work, but you can probably do better with a finer tip.
