Fantastic, as advertised model! The Good: This product arrived fast and early, it was in good condition on arrival. The kit was every bit as easy as claimed for assembly and instructions with the finished Gundam being color accurate. No painting or decal work needed for the finished kit. It is highly poseable from head to toe and although it only comes with 2 hands (1 left, 1 right) in a standard closed around an object pose it can easily hold its accessories. The Gundam even has a surprisingly high level of detail (More than I would expect from something that's $8.00).
The Bad: One of the knee cap pieces is loose, can be fixed with glue but the kit says there is no need for that. The shield can also be a bit loose when slotted into the backpack and the rifle comes with a articulated scope but not an articulated handle for two handed use. Also the front skirt is one piece, a common problem for Gunpla from what I understand but while there is usually a way to correct that with most kits there doesn't seem to be a way to separate the skirt halves without risking them falling off on this one.
The Ugly: It comes with two beam sabers but no beam saber effect pieces, probably not a problem for veteran model makers but as this is my first model I don't have a spares lying around to use.
The Verdict: I paid $8.00 for this... money very well spent, I was really glad to see its ease of construction prevented me from feeling overwhelmed on my first attempt at a model kit. I had Gundam action figures as a kid and this model beat them hands down in articulation and the joints are sturdy enough to let it hold poses and stand up on its own. If you are beginning Gunpla like me or just want a very easy, cheap, and fun RX-78-2 I highly recommend grabbing one.Comment Thank you for your feedback! Entry Grade Done Right Amazing articulation and color separation at a tiny price. The lack of surface detail and blocky design only add to its simple charm.

Excellent by itself, even better as an entry point for young people First kit in nearly 20 years. It's uncanny how far Gunpla has come. The articulation, panel detail, and color separation are exceptional. I bought this both as an easy re-entry into the hobby and as a small project to do with my young children. They loved it, I loved it, and my son is still flying it around the house making "pew pew" sounds
One word of caution: we did break off part of the V Fins by being a bit too overzealous in popping it off the runner. Just take your time and all the parts pop free with ease.Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again -

A cheap kit done right. Excellent, cheap, quality kit.
This isn't like the old EG kits (anybody remember those?). This kit is just a step away from a HG and I was honestly surprised by how good it was. The build is super easy and it's color accurate. Articulation is decent for what you get here. No stickers here, doesn't need any, unlike the HGUC! Even the crotch V piece is molded in color.
The only downside is the lack of beam saber blades but you might be able to steal some from other 1/144 kits you have around.
Highly recommended for a beginner, or for those wanting a cheap kit to experiment on.Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again -
