This is the superior version of the RX-78 Local type variant! The RX-78-01 Local type Full Scale Development is the prototype ground gundam unit testing out heavy weapons.
The pros of this kit.
-If you missed out on the P-bandai white variant, I recommend getting the non p-bandai black North American type which has more equipment. If you have to choose between the North American Type and the Full Scale Development, I strongly recommend the latter. The full scale development have all the weapons and equipment of the previous two kits along with a new ones such as the Gatling gun and large folding claw shield.
The Full Scale Development even have the North American type body frame if you wanna switch back and forth.
-The hands can equip weapons from other origins kits and including non-origins kits as well such as the HGUC RX-78-2 revive and the 0083 HG GM type C.
The cons.
- The stickers size and durability require tweezers and maybe even glue to set in place. Also if you decided to switch between the North American and Full Scale development body frame, then you are going to need to buy another pack of stickers since the kit comes with only enough for one frame.
- To unequipped the shield you need to switch the wrist connector part of the left arm due to the shields a lacking a peg to the universal round slots on the arms like other kits do. So be careful or you will break the arm like I did.Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again -

First Kit in 10 YEARS!! I just recently started back in Gunpla after more than 10 years of not building one because of life. As my first ever build, I am highly impressed with how the quality has improved tremendously and this is the perfect build for someone just starting in gunpla. Easy to assemble, though those decals are way too small so if you don't have a tweezer or X-acto knife nearby, it'll be a major pain in the butt. Though it is to be expected as it is a 1/144 scale. Quality wise it is outstanding.

Local type, but with extras! This kit has everything the NA Local type does, and more! It has the alternate waist, chest, shield, bag, gun... and on. Simply put this kit is a fantastic choice from its customization options alone. There are so many ways to build and equip this beast it is fantastic!
It is, of course, not perfect however. The beam sabers tend to fall out of their back slots. I personally also had a number of pieces, particularly on the head that broke rather easily. The articulation is fairly standard, nothing too nutty here, although it is worth noting that the feet are flat with no articulation or slopes.
In all this is definitely a great kit. I personally love it for so many reasons, namely the aesthetics. Particularly those light grey joints look fantastic when panel lined!Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again -

Excellent HG. Like a lot of Origin kits, this one feels like a really well-designed, cool HG that packs a lot of value. Multiple shields, a cool wrist-mounted gatling gun, and teh orange and black color scheme all make this a cool variant on the RX-78-01. However, I found it pretty hard to use the gatling with the belt attached to the backpack-mounted drum; the gatling has a smaller drum that can be attached directly to it at least. Also, the bits on backpack to plug the beam sabers into are really loose. But other than those minor quibbles, this is a super cool build.

I'm probably just being blind here, but this looks nearly identical to the North American Front Origin kit.
Still buying it for the Wrist Gun.Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again -

One of the best MSD kits! Not only is it an awesome looking kit with lots of detail that's easy to build, but it also comes with parts to make the North American Type Gundam if that's what you prefer! It comes with tons of weapons for both so you can mix and match to your liking!
