Neither will alone, nor strength alone... I was really excited to get this mobile kit, especially considering how much I adore the original Gundam SEED series. And when I finally finished building it, I knew I made a smart decision. SEED is often loved for its mobile suit designs and Strike Gundam is no exception, with it pretty much being a modernized take on the original RX-78-2. And Bandai was able to replicate this into the HGUC format very well. But not everything is 100% perfect. My only gripe being is that the stickers were a little too small, but that's probably expected with 1/144 scale High Grade kits. But all in all, definitely a great kit to satisfy the inner SEED fan within me. Definitely recommended, especially to those looking for a good kit to start with.

The definitive HG Strike Gundam After what I consider to be the sheer mediocrity of the 2004 HG Strike Gundam, this kit is pretty much the perfect upgrade. No longer do I need to worry about the arm-mounted shield holder snapping and becoming totally useless, the articulation is on point with current HGs, it feels overall sturdier than the 2004 version, and to top it all off, it comes with the knives, which, IMO, are more fun to pose with on this guy than the beam sabers. Like SEED or not, this is a great model to have.

SEED has always been one of my favorite entries in the Gundam franchise, and most of that love was geared toward the mobile suit designs. And ever since I discovered a HGUC version of the Aile Strike Gundam, I was just dying to have it.

Great version of the Strike Gundam I had a blast with this kit. The color separation is impressive with only a few stickers are involved (such as the eyes and the head cameras, and only 4 for the backpack and one small one for the shield). The kit went 95-99% together perfectly except (could only be my copy) for the red crown like piece that went over the V-Fin, my was extremely loose and the slightest touch would knock it off (might need to have some glue standing by just in case). The flexibility of the suit is impressive to say the least.
This Gunpla is highly recommended to any Gundam fan and the price is pretty cheap.Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again -

Great kit! easy build great really poseable and few seam lines to boot. Its sort of light on detail but the detail it has is nice enough.

A fantastic suit let down by a giant growth on her back I grew up on SEED. I first read the manga in the library when I was twelve, and since then my dreams have been filled with giant robots and emotionally charged teenagers screaming at each other. And the Strike was just a cool mobile suit. I remember thinking back then how cool the handles on the shoulders were, how I loved all the exposed bits of steel. When I started building, I got one of the original HG SEED kits and just played around with it, not even caring that it was kind of shit.
When I went to the local shop and found my childhood hero sitting there, I was amazed. Only $15? Amazing! Strike was an impulse buy, and I built it same day.
The Strike unit itself is great. She's a lean, mean fighting machine, here to kick ass and take names. The way the armor vents are put together made me giggle the first time I did it. Really, the only problems were the quality of the blue plastic and red piece on the forehead being difficult to stay on; I had to resort to plastic cement.
And then there's the Aile unit.
Firstly, the damn thing is an ugly eyesore. It looks like the ending of Zeta where Kamille stabs The O with an airplane. it breaks up the silhouette of the Strike unit horribly, adding not much to the overall experience. It also comes with the only color correcting stickers on the whole kit; two giant red stickers over some of the wings that look terrible no matter how careful you are. Worse yet, it's actually quite heavy; it makes the kit unbalanced. I ended up having to make a stand out of a spare runner.
I keep her now in the pose on the box, and it doesn't look too awful. I wasn't able to topcoat the Aile pack because it would have killed the stickers, but it looks fine on a shelf.
