I have a thing for the chunky bois, my shelves dont :(
Good lord I want this so bad... If only it weren't 300 dollars and also very difficult to allocate t ...
It is big, it is bold, it is beautiful Quality: It is Hefty and seems to hold up very well. If I had to say anything bad about the quality it would be that I'm afraid the internal structure that allows the arms to "transform" is skeletal and looks fragile... but I haven't had any issues with it so it must be good quality.
Design: Well it is only an HG but the lines are smooth, I just wish there was more detail. The spring assist pieces for the pod bays are finicky. If I did it again I'd sand them down a little so there was less contact so they'd pop up with no issue. That is more my problem than the kit. I wish the particle emitter actually had a rotating piece and concealed the shield plates instead of having to flip the disk over.
Value: how about $200 guys?
All that "bad" stuff being said. This THING is freaking awesome especially sitting next to my other 1/144s who would be quaking in their metal suits if they didn't regularly go up against capital ships. I'd give it up... for a complete set of every other "normal" 1/144 Gundam
