Color caution I finally caved and bought this version of Asra to go with my Archer. Ninja comes with way more accessories and I'm actually sad that I can't equip her with every single weapon all at once. There are bonus swords included with this kit, but not a flying base like Archer which is mildly disappointing because now I have to buy one separately.
Anyway, I'd like to mention that the Kagekoromo color scheme is a bit different from how it appears in the lazily-recolored official product images. The Shadow Versions of Asra Archer and Ninja appear black, dark purple, and dark blue, but they are lighter in reality. The black parts are more like blackberry/deep violet, the purple parts are greyish violet, and the blue parts are what I'd consider cobalt. I realize not everyone is as particular about color schemes as me, but I wanted to put it out there. And I would recommend modeling glue for certain delicate parts, mainly her stupid scarf that separates every time you nudge it.Comment Thank you for your feedback! Lovely model I prefer this color scheme to the original. The darker color scheme is a much better fit for the ninja style. The additional sword accessories are a definite plus as well.

Figure quality in a model kit If you bought some of the earlier Kotobukiya kits and thought that they fell apart way too easily, get rid of that sentiment and give their newer kits a go, in this case the asra ninja. If I could explain how this model kit looks and feels in one phrase, it would be, "figure quality in a model kit".
Asra ninja has some of the best posability I've seen in a model kit, even better than some figures that I own. This allows for some extremely dynamic poses that make her a blast to mess around with. To sweeten the deal, she comes with a bunch of accessories, ranging from weapons to flat out new body parts to allow for even more options.
Though Asra ninja is one of the best model kits I've ever had the pleasure of building, there are some things to keep in mind. Even though Kotobukiya leveled up super hard, it's still a kotobukiya kit, meaning that a lot more time and effort is needed to make the model kit nice. Stuff like sanding down pegs and sharp edges, as well as the use of some kind of modeling glue to make some parts stay where they need to be are heavily recommended. Another thing that goes along with this is that some parts are fragile. I actually ended up breaking the torso connection since the ball joint was too tight, which was a pain to fix.
Overall, if you have experience building model kits (I wouldn't recommend something like this for first-time modelers) and are willing to put in the time and effort, Asra Ninja is one hell of a great kit.
I still prefer Asra Archer, though. Don't judge!Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again -

Kotobukiya quality. Fun build with a lot of mix and matching options you'd expect from frame arms compatible kits, especially if you own Archer as well.

Matched pair Bought this with the shadow archer. Both are great kits! I love the fact that there are so many options when assembling these kits. Parts from both kits can be swapped or combined to make even more impressive builds! The kits are a little expensive, but the quality is as good as I have ever seen...big Kotobukiya fan!
