This thing is now my mascot!!! I was skeptical at first about this kit solely for the clear parts this version comes with. But once I found out they're optional, I got this right away! The design is very intricate and stylish, and the proportions make it look tough and agile. Especially in the legs. Its shoulders and arms have great mobility, too, ass it can even cross its arms with enough patience! The biggest selling point besides its wide posability are its swords, Gerbera Straight and Tiger Pierce. Silver-plated they look like actual steel to the eye!
The Tactical Arms II-L is very versatile and stable, but makes the Astray itself very back-heavy. I keep mine in V-Form, as it distributes the weight the best. This is the most advanced MG I've done yet, and is a great display piece for... whatever! Just get it!!! (From old GP site by OZKai at Nov 2010)1 Comments Thank you for your feedback! Amazing design This kit takes a while to build only because it has so much to offer. Anyone who's a fan of seed or samurai should get this kit. Such a striking design to have on display.

Amazing Astray Gunpla A great kit for fans of the the Gundam Astray Red Frame. 99% of the kit went together easily, however some parts even with tabs shaved off were not easy to fit together, like prices would move while putting together, and are fragile even when being as careful as possible. The arms and fin fall off with while positioning to do poses.
Otherwise a must have for fans of the Gundam Astray Red Frame.Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again -

GIANT GUNPLA SWORD GIANT GUNPLA SWORD Very smooth and enjoyable build. Looks amazing on a shelf.
But I think the star of the show is the Tactical Arms (aka the giant delta triangle on it's back) not only does it serve as a massive bow or even a flight unit but it forms a masssssssssive gunpla sword (i find it realistic enough that if glued/set completely solid in sword mode i wouldn't be surprised if airplane terminal security judged this a dangerous weapon and wont let you on with it. FYI dont try to make it dangerous!!!)Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again -

First MG First MG kit I'm building. Goes together just as easily as other Gunpla kits, just a lot more pieces to the process. Real cool design, plus has a cool bow mode, may need to get a second one!

Good kit overall, some loose connections Ok just to get the problems out of the way, the white pieces on the backs of the legs fall off a lot, some parts of the head fall off too, like the V-fin and the top half, the sword sheaths don't really hold in place,
the arms fall off a lot if you try to pose it, and the TA II isn't great. literally all of these problems can be fixed with glue, besides the TA, but you wouldn't buy this kit for just that. just glue some pieces of, coat the points that go into the sockets in the arm with a little glue, and throw the TA out the window, and you suddenly have a fantastic kit. The articulation is incredible; you can get this guy into almost any pose you want. plus, the kit comes with chromed out katanas and just overall looks quite awesome. The decals look pretty unique, too, kinda like spray paint. anyways, It's a great kit for a reasonable price, and as long as you have your trusty model cement, everything gonna be alright. (Just don't mind the TA and keep it on it's stand)
tl;dr good kit, glue is your friend, triangle on its back should be turned into a sword and kept on an action base or waved at your friends. buy it.Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again -

I Bought this Twice! don't ask me why, i mean it's a master grade, and frankly it's very expensive and i would consider it an impulsive move, but that's not what we've gather here to talk about. this is a great kit, even by MG standards, it has perfect articulation, it has a big giant sword, and it is dapper af. really the only problem is that the thumb tends to pop off when you're posing the weapons. otherwise, absolutely stunning

Fun Build, Awesome Kit, Somewhat Finicky Pieces I purchased the Astray Red Frame as my COVID-19 lockdown project. Gundam Planet shipped fast and I received the kit within a few days of ordering. The kit has a large amount of accessories and is generally very well detailed. In addition to the dry-rub decals and sticker decals that came with the kit, I also panel lined and painted it. The whole process was rewarding and fun. That said, there were quite a few frustrating moments as the high detail of the kit means there are quite a few finicky pieces that don't quite work well together. The overall weight is also a problem, as the accessories simply are too big for the model and cause toppling issues. Thankfully, the model is very well articulated and can be posed in a variety of shapes that can offset some of the weight issues. The kit comes with a Gunpla base for posing, but that base is very light and not held together well, meaning it tends to tip if you are not cautious. These are very minor details in what is actually a cool kit with lots of visually rewarding aesthetic characteristics.
