Before Wing Gundam Proto Zero and Before Wing Gundam EW. There are No Machine Cannons in Wing Gundam EW!
Looks great, but flawed design. The kit itself is mostly solid in terms of articulation and desgn. I really like a lot of this reimagining since it brings a more modern fiber glass aesthetic to the Wing Gundam that appears more mechanical and true to life than the original 90's tv version did.
However the kit has a feature that really drags down the quality of it's presentation that I'm sure you may have read in other reviews. The main weapon, the buster rifle, does not properly grip into the hands. It honestly drags down the presentation since this is the main accessory to the gundam, and the rifle itself really does look cool in concept with it's longer length and blast shield.
This could have been easily remedied if they had a gripping gimmick, that allowed the blast shield to peg into the forearm, similar to how it connects to the shield during the transformation.
Great MG with one huge flaw! Great build, great decals, and awesome articulation for something based on the old WZC MG. Problem is, it can't really hold up the Buster Rifle without modification; pick up a pin vise and some brass rods to make the most out of the kit.
An amazing kit but minor flaws This kit was a pleasure to build. The color separation is really good. The articulation is really good as well. The build is not that difficult. The only problem with this kit is the older version of the hands (with the thumb and index fingers move separate and the other fingers move together) can not hold the Buster Rifle in any pose except for the neutral standing pose unless modified.
Still this kit is still amazing and I do not regret getting this kit. I highly recommended this kit to any Gundam fan and is a must have for any collection. Because there is not many Gunpla that matches this kit as unique as it is.
Solid MG to my collection The parts fit very nicely and the articulation is solid. It’s a bit smaller than expected but I’m still very happy how easy to pose this thing. Only one drawback and it’s a big one like one of the commenters have said, it can’t hold its cannon. It’s basically useless as is unless you want to pose it transformed. But then, you’d have to lay it on the base as there is no good way to prop up the transformer version. Otherwise very good value for the price.
My second ever MG build It was an ok build. I didn't have too many problems with it. I was worried about it being a little back heavy with the wings but it's pretty stable for the most part. One of the wing connections is a lot looser than the other on my kit, I do have to say so it always kind falls down a few centimeters from the other when posed. I wish there was a little bit more decal wise, I'd recommend getting the waterslide decal sheet for the Ver.Ka kit because the decals that come with this one are a little underwhelming honestly.
Flashy A solid kit. Takes up a lot of space on the shelf for such a lithe MS due to those huge wings its named after. Typical of most ver Ka's, you either love it or hate it. At least for the haters there is the anime version in MG too!
Awesome Kit im a huge gundam fan and have always loved the way the wing gundam ver. ka looked. box art is awesome and the quality is great, which goes without saying since it is a MG. if your a fan of the design I say pick one up!
