Crocodile Dundee Approved (#notforreal) I used to think "a hobby knife is a hobby knife and any one will do." Like a mugger in a flashy vinyl jacket squaring off against an Australian crocodile hunter, I see the error in my thinking - THIS is a "noif." The handle is extremely light, stable, and feels very sturdy. I've had metal hobby knives that feel significantly less so. It has a noticeable tab toward the bottom to prevent rolling off a flat surface, and the cap has a more subtle one you can line up with the spine of the blade, so you can easily thumb the cap off without cutting yourself. Speaking of the blade, I always went with the larger acute tirangular blades before but the smaller chisel shaped blades on this stay put very well and provide a lot of stability. The metal quality is great, even for a disposible blade. I can put a lot less effort into getting a far more superior cut. I haven't even changed the firt blade yet, and this thing comes with 25 spares! Even the case them come in feels great. All of this is crammed into a surprisingly affordable price point. It's like investing a little more into one good umbrella instead of cheaping out and getting a series of crappy, unreliable umbrellas. I won't say you *need* to get this knife, but I highly encourage anybody to give it a try. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
