Host an Event Outside Gundam Planet

Want to host an event and have Gundam Planet vend? Here’s what you need to know!

  1. The first thing to remember is this is your event! Hooray for you! We are just a vendor. You and your team will be responsible for securing a time & location, planning any itineraries, holding ticket sales & keeping a headcount, providing any additional materials or refreshments, and social media marketing & advertising. Say where & when & we’ll bring our table & set up with tools & kits to sell. 
  2. There are two types of events: build nights & workshops. A build night is where people can come and build together with no real instruction. It’s more of a social gathering. Of course, we’ll be happy to answer any build related or general questions. A workshop is a guided experience where one of our staff will instruct in building a predetermined kit that everyone builds together. You can determine which is right for you. If you have any different ideas, you’re more than welcome to share!
  3. Typically, a minimum of a month’s notice is needed to ensure we can properly advertise your event. We will help to regularly boost your event on our social media platforms (in the form of weekly post reminders & frequent stories) & most times can provide our own custom graphics tailored to your event. Please be ready with any picture files of your store, company, or groups’ logos & any event titles or catch phrases. Nothing cringe please!
  4. Depending on the size of your event, we will provide 2-4 GP staff members to vend at our table. Please let us know how many people you’re planning to have attend.
  5. Depending on the size of the space, we may or may not bring our huge banner. If you haven’t seen it, it is bigger than what you’re imagining in your head.
  6. We reserve the right to refuse to vend at your event. We want all events we're a part of to feel safe & inclusive.

Host an Event at Gundam Planet

We finally have an event space! Hooray! But don’t tell the town (we’re technically not allowed).

  1. 1-3 & 6 above apply!
  2. Our event room can comfortably accommodate 20 people at most at once. If your event is more freeform, you can have more as long as everyone can easily float into the room & then out into our showroom.
  3. We will have at least 2 GP staff members on the premises to monitor the event & ring anyone up if they wish to make a purchase.
  4. Let us know what day & time you'd like to have your event. We're pretty flexible. Please note that we cannot & will not close our showroom to the public for your event during our normal business hours. If it's a normal business day, we'll coordinate with you to make sure your attendees have proper parking instructions. Unless it's on a Sunday, you'll have to share us with our customers! We love our customers!
  5. Please give yourself enough time before your event’s start to set up & get settled. We’ll have the room ready for you the day before the event & you may set up as early as then.
  6. Cleanup is also your responsibility & you’ll have up to an hour after your event’s end to pack it all up.
  7. It’s free? Pay in pizza & donuts?
