Nice kit. Watch the Wing hinges as they can be weak and break easily. Overall a really nice kit.
First real grade Amazing build! My first Real Grade.
My 2nd RG Highly enjoyed building this kit. The end result is ammazing, so many choices for poses and weapons.
My first Gunpla This model happened to be the first Gunpla I decided to try out. I wouldn't recommend this for a first time, but definitely once you know what you're doing. The Amatsu Mina is highly complex, yet absolutely brilliant in its design. Out of the box, you get the frame components which are well-articulated and move as if they were meant to be the real thing. (Be careful with these parts, I learned the hard way that Gunpla is not the most durable thing) The Amatsu Mina has a lot of tiny, black parts, so if you're not careful you could lose a piece or two like I have. However, the end result is just awesome. It's a bit difficult to stand with the backpack on, but it's still quite a sight.
Cool, but Be Careful... Let's start with the good. When this absolute edgelord of a beast is finished it's got CRAZY awesome shelf presence! I mean this this is ridiculous cool looking!
It goes without saying that the RG line is full of lots of fragile delicate parts, but this one leaves a lot to be desired. The dark red plastic is grossly fragile and almost "crumbles" when it starts to get weak. I thought I was crazy when I bought two of these and the red hinges under the wings broke, but I researched it further and found that Bandai changed up their plastic formula around this time, and resulted in some VERY brittle plastics.
In addition the nub marks on the glossy black pieces are almost impossible to get rid out and have it still look good. I just ended up sanding whatever geometric face that a nub mark ended up on and creating a nice contrast with some matte and gloss surfaces, but that's just my solution.
All this aside if you can be super careful with it, and you're okay putting some work into it this thing can look super cool. Definitely would not recommend for beginners.
Awesome Kit My third kit and the hardest one so far but it was well worth it. He looks awesome even without panel liner. The head was the most difficult part but otherwise it was more about patience than difficulty. Definitely needs a stand though because of how back heavy he is.
You don’t need cement.
You don’t need paint.
