Looks great but Weak arms and legs. Can't really pose and hold position

world of wonders. I could starter to break you in if you're new

My first RG gunpla This was my first RG gunpla and I am hooked. I think this might be my favorite to do so far.
The first RG kit is the iconic RX-78-2, featuring the amazing poseability and detail that core kit builders demand along with a stress-free building style perfect for beginners as well! Beam Rifle, Beam Saber, Bazooka, Shield, and Core Fighter are all included for the complete Gundam experience!

Really cool kit, but not an easy build The quality and look of this kit is awesome, but due to the small size, that leads to a ton of small pieces and decals which might not be the best for newer builders.

My guilty pleasure. This kit is a mess, no two ways about it. But like a problem child, I still love it to bits. The aesthetics of it are unmatched and it's the first of its kind.

Grampa's Got Some Weak Joints This thing was the first RG and unfortunately it shows. From weird foot construction, skirts and thruster bells that love to pop off, and only the RG style poseable hands included. (Which have a hard time firmly holding things and the fingers pop off a lot)
I will give credit where credit is due and say it has a fair amount of accessories, and can be constructed with the core fighter on display. (*cough cough* LOOKIN AT YOU RG GP01)
All in all if you put int he work with the decals this thing is one of the most beautiful Grampa Gundam models ever made, and I do absolutely love mine. If you're like me and you prefer 1/144 scale stuff to 1/100 scale stuff then I'd totally recommend this as the Grampa Gundam to have in your collection.Comment Thank you for your feedback! Fun build but imperfect model This classic is a fun build and easier than other RGs I've done while still being noticeably different from HG kits; I wish I'd done this RG first rather than messing with some of the fiddliness of RG Zakus. The RX-78-2 looks really good once you're done, but some of the joints (particularly in the arms and waist) are much looser than I'd like, which makes it a little finicky to pose.

Oldie but a Goodie Being the first RG, there have definitely been plenty of improvements in the line. That being said, this is still a great kit, and an awesome representation of the RX-78-2.

Iconic but falls short An iconic figure--if only the kit was as iconic in its construction. I love the RX-78-2 Gundam, but this kit was not very well manufactured, unfortunately. Pieces are barely held in their joints and will constantly come off while being put together, requiring lots of re-work. After I finally got this one constructed, one of the internal leg components snapped as I was trying to gently bend its knee into position.
