great looking kit love the kit only issues i had was the weapons clicking in on the backpack and that the sword cannot hook onto both hands. other than that it is a great kit.
Fun build RG Destiny is fun to put together, but due to the kit using a pre-molded frame it can get lose over time, especially where the wing joints are. But I still recommend this kit.
A fragile but must-have for Seed-Destiny fans Like Shinn or not, Destiny Gundam is a beast. A fully-armed, menacing demigod. Yes it is loose. Yes it is a bear to pose. Yes parts fall off. But still, put on a stand with its wings spread, this is a beautiful monster of shelf presence. It may take hours to pose, but it is worthwhile to make it charge angrily with a big sword.
My Second Ever I absolutely love this kit. I've built about 10 other MS since, and I still catch myself admiring this one. Big fan of the SEED designs, as they are very sleek. The faceplate is very nice, the color tones are great as well. The winged back piece is a bit on the heavy side for the Mobile Suit itself, so a standing position is a bit difficult to get, but put this guy in the air and you're in business. Definitely recommend for any SEED design fan.
The one I was most excited to get! I'm not really a fan of the winged flight packs of some of the SEED suit, but the Destiny really was an exception. Displaying it with the bright red wings open and wielding the sword gives this some real shelf presence!
Make sure I'm reviewing the correct robot this time. Like I mistakenly posted over on the RG Freedom this kit has issues with standing freely; you'll want a stand. It looks great and while the hands are a bit awkward to pose it's still a really nice kit and it's back weapons are awesome.
On mine the wings are weighty enough to bot want to pose fully upwards and the lefthand side (that is the mech's left) wing likes to drop down of it's own accord.
Great for my first build Had a lot of fun building this gunpla, especially for my first ever build. The amount of detail was amazing and the straight forward instructions made even the most difficult part easy, would recommend.
Solid overall - great bang for your buck! Lots of weapons (back mounted sword and cannon, beam rifle, two beam boomerangs, and two special open hands for the palm cannons), a fairly straightforward build, and some great posing options.
Offset by the absolutely terrible 'old' RG style hands, which have articulated fingers (these come loose all the time for me and refuse to hold anything - I've resorted to not posing him with the sword which is a big negative) and some weak joints, particularly in the shoulder, which are frustratingly loose during posing. I believe these issues may be exclusive to me though - so your mileage may vary.
Has a very strange head design - please make sure to snap the two head-pieces together, I've seen lots of people with gaps running down the middle of their kit's forehead. It's a bit tough to fully snap together.
Features tons of marking stickers and more than enough color seperation and panel lines to make any modeler go nuts, and has a fair amount of interior detail - as to be expected from the RG line.
If you're a fan of the Destiny Gundam's design, this kit is by no mean a pass - it looks beautiful when displayed. Wings of Light will make it look even better. Recommended to intermediate builders.
Decent I love the look of the kit. The wings/backpack look great, but some of the decals on the wings have trouble staying where they should. The larger weapons, when mounted on the backpack, sometimes fall off pretty easily when moving parts of the kit, but when left in a pose, they stay attached pretty well. The biggest issue with this kit for me is that getting it to stand on its own is very difficult, and even when mounted on a base, the weight of the backpack tends to affect the posing of it.
